What is Tesco about?

Tesco developed an e-commerce system called TescoLink and later TIE (Tesco Information Exchange) to facilitate collaboration and information sharing with suppliers. TIE allowed over 600 suppliers to access daily point-of-sale data, sales forecasts, and inventory information. This helped suppliers better manage supply chains, demand, promotions and reduce costs. While beneficial, few suppliers fully changed practices due to TIE since retailing is a traditional industry with set ways.
