An offer is a proposal made with the intention of obtaining consent. It must be certain, capable of acceptance and communicated to the offeree. An invitation to offer is not an offer. An offer lapses after a reasonable time or stipulated time if not accepted. Acceptance must be absolute, communicated to the offeror and made within a reasonable time. Contracts can be classified as valid, void, voidable, unenforceable or illegal based on their enforceability.
