While Śūdras generally have no rights to study the Vedas, there is a small exception according to Śrīla Baladeva Vidyābhūṣaṇa. He explains that Śūdras like chariot makers have the right to study and perform certain specific parts of the Vedas related to their duties, such as installing the sacred fire during rainy seasons.
