This document presents preliminary results from an experimental study on the behavior of confined interlocking compressed earth block (CEB) walls subjected to lateral loading. Two wall specimens were constructed and tested: one with CEBs made using a hand press and one with CEBs made using a hydraulic press. The walls were designed based on current practice in Indonesia.
