This study investigates the effectiveness of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in preventing oral mucositis (OM) in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). A randomized clinical trial involving 42 patients showed that those receiving LLLT had significantly lower incidence and severity of OM compared to the control group, with 57.1% experiencing no mucositis at all.
