This report investigates siloxanes in silicone products intended for food contact, analyzing 49 samples from the Norwegian market in 2016. While no siloxanes were found in baking paper samples, 41 silicone products showed significant siloxane content, with 24 exceeding proposed action limits. Migration tests indicated that none of the products would exceed safety limits when used as intended, suggesting that high siloxane levels may be due to improper curing during manufacturing.
