About this document

Coastal Landforms from Waves and Wind by Lakshay Mehta is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The Arguin Bank lies in the mouth of the Arcachon Estuary in southern France. Formed by sand drifting along the coast and across the estuary mouth, the bank is constantly reshaped by ocean waves and tides up to 4 meters high. It provides habitat for migratory birds. This photo shows sand waves created by both wind and currents at the northern end of the bank, with sand moving and accumulating in ripples underwater and on land.
