What is Extremist Groups and U.S. Society Changes about?

Laird Wilcox, a researcher on extremism, argues that extremist groups are often the first to recognize societal changes, but they frequently misinterpret them. He expresses concern that the backlash from the Oklahoma City bombing may lead to new laws that erode civil liberties, particularly affecting lower-middle-class individuals who feel their culture is under threat. Wilcox warns against both extremism and government overreach, emphasizing the need for a balanced perspective on societal changes.
