What is Privatisation Failures in Indonesia: Abstract about?

The document discusses the failures of privatisation in Indonesia, highlighting that despite government commitments, little progress has been made in divesting state-owned enterprises. It argues that the failures are not due to the concept of privatisation itself, but rather due to moral hazards where business risks were not adequately transferred to the private sector. The document emphasizes the need for learning from past mistakes in the approach to privatisation rather than abandoning it altogether.
