This study investigates the physiological markers of trauma-related nightmares (TRNs) in military personnel with PTSD, using home-based multi-sensor devices to assess autonomic dynamics before and after TRN-related awakenings. Results indicate that TRNs are associated with heightened sudomotor activity and reduced heart rate variability, distinguishing them from other types of awakenings. The findings support the potential for biomarker-based detection and targeted interventions for TRNs in PTSD patients.
