Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland who was born in the 5th century and taken as a slave to Ireland at age 16, where he began to find faith and prayed to escape. After hearing voices telling him he could return home, he fled Ireland but later felt called to return and spent over 40 years teaching Christianity and building churches before dying on March 17th, the day now celebrated as Saint Patrick
