Western Black Rhinoceros Extinction by johnselmaligon is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The Western Black Rhinoceros, a subspecies of the Black Rhinoceros, was declared extinct by the IUCN in 2011 due to poaching driven by demand for rhino horns. This large animal measured up to 3.75 meters in length and inhabited the savanna of sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in countries like Cameroon and Nigeria. The last confirmed sighting occurred in 2006, and despite conservation efforts, it could not be saved from extinction.
