This study investigated the effect of different infill materials on the performance of geocell-reinforced bases through laboratory plate load tests. Three infill materials were tested: poorly-graded Kansas River sand, quarry waste (QW), and well-graded AB-3 aggregate. The geocell provided lateral confinement to the infill materials, increasing stiffness, bearing capacity, and reducing permanent deformation compared to unreinforced bases.
