What is Ostracoda Taxonomy in Red Sea Mangroves about?
This document summarizes a study on ostracoda populations in mangrove ecosystems along the Egyptian Red Sea coast. 46 sediment samples were collected from two mangrove sites and analyzed. 48 ostracoda species across 28 genera and 14 families were identified. The most common genera found were Xestoleberis, Ghardaglaia, Loxoconcha, Quadracythere, Hiltrmannicythere and Loxocorniculum, making up over three quarters of the total assemblage.
