## Abstract The title compound was obtained by a copper-assisted ring opening reaction of cyclohexene oxide using 4-methylphenyl-magnesium-bromide. It crystallizes from n-pentane in the triclinic system, space group __P__[unk], with __a__ = 1122.0(6) pm, __b__ = 1174.5(5) pm, __c__ = 917.2(3) pm, __α__ = 107.11(3)°, __β__ = 90.69(4)°, __γ__ = 76.18(4)°.
