We have report the transmission of twenty 10-Gb/s channels and twenty 20-Gb/s with 100- GHz spacing over 80 km spans of Conventional single mode fiber in the lower wavelength region of L-band. Low error rates are achieved with 2.5 dBm input power per channel and a span loss of 27.2 dB. For large transmission distances it covers 320 km for 400-Gb/s and 720 km for 200-Gb/s with acceptable bit error rate using pre and post-dispersion compensation technique.
