This document describes the traditional dance "El Yayu" originating from the Masin region in Peru. The dance "El Yayu" originated in the pre-Inca era as an offering to Pacha Mama and Yunca for the harvests. It is currently practiced in September in Huaripampa paying homage to religious figures and in May in Masin paying homage to San Isidro. The dance involves musicians and dancers in traditional attire.
