What is Pin Fin Heat Transfer Analysis about?

This equipment is designed to study heat transfer from pin fins. It consists of three different metal fins fitted in a duct where air is blown over them. A heater heats one end of the fins and temperature distribution along the fins is measured to compare with theoretical models. It allows experiments in both natural and forced convection to understand performance of different materials.
