What is Coping with the Stress of Aging — Creatively about?
KEY worms-Creative aging, exercise, sexual activity. I consider myself somewhat of an expert on aging, since I have been doing it for about 74 years. All of us here are younger than we shall ever be again. We are also older than we have ever been. We are aging. The United States 1990 census shows that the nation is aging. The 'oldest-old' -people 85 and older -is growing three times faster than the general population. The 65-and-over crowd is growing twice as rapidly. Current interest in aging is demographic; a greater percentage of the population is now in the 'Golden Years' than ever before. Aging is seen as one of the great challenges of Western civilization. Although the workings of old age tend to be mysterious, any person who is patient enough, and, of course, who lives long enough, is bound to experience it in due time. Finding one's self old is a normative crisis, not an affliction. Age and illness are not the same thing. Aging is a much harder enemy to lick than Saddam Hussein. As with all modern warfare, mankind's determined campaign against aging uses some extensive weapons. ## COMBATING AGING -They endure face lifts and hair transplants, breast implants for firmer curve
