This study analyzed 55 autopsy cases of patients who were declared dead on arrival at emergency rooms in Busan, Ulsan, and Yangsan, Korea between 2007-2012. The clinical causes of death were compared to the postmortem examination diagnoses. Of the non-traumatic deaths, the clinical diagnoses often listed cardiovascular diseases while autopsies found coronary artery disease in most cases. For unnatural deaths, clinical and autopsy diagnoses generally agreed except for 5 non-traumatic and 2 unnatural deaths.
