The main work performed during the overhaul from March to May 2009 included sandblasting and replacing sealing strips on the rotor, guide blade carriers, balance pistons and labyrinths. New journal and oil sealing rings were also installed. Clearance measurements were taken and components were aligned as part of reassembly. The turbine casing flange was repaired after being found with deep corrosion marks.
