What is Comorbidities in Drug-Resistant TB Patients about?
This study examines comorbidities in patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB RO) undergoing BPAL/BPALM treatment at Abdul Moeloek Hospital in Lampung. Among 47 patients, 13 had comorbidities, with type 2 diabetes being the most prevalent at 38.46%, followed by HIV, cardiovascular disease, COPD, and kidney disorders at 15.38% each. The findings highlight the need for proactive management and monitoring of comorbidities to optimize treatment outcomes.
