About this document

Septoplasty Techniques for Nasal Deviation by Constantin Stan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The nasal septum has bony and cartilaginous components that can deviate and cause nasal obstruction. Septoplasty surgically manipulates or removes the deviated septum. It may be needed to correct irreversible nasal obstruction, improve access for other sinus surgeries, or remove septal spurs causing nosebleeds. The septum has complex arterial blood supply from both internal and external carotid arteries and innervation from trigeminal nerves that surgeons must understand to safely perform septoplasty.
