What is Reuse of UK alum water treatment sludge in cement-based materials about?

## h i g h l i g h t s Alum Water Treatment Sludge comprises amorphous Al(OH) 3 with minor amounts of quartz and montmorillonite. Alum sludge undergoes various phase changes upon heating, eventually forming corundum. Calcined sludge added to Portland cement influences cement hydration. Sludge calcined at 825 °C showed the best reactivity due to the formation of poorly-crystallized g-alumina. Formation of crystalline corundum affects hydration via the filler effect rather than chemically.

Who reads Reuse of UK alum water treatment sludge in cement-based materials?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Engineering.
