About this document

Cruise Control System Overview by Mike Cryer is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Cruise control maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions but may vary on steep grades. It is electrically controlled and vacuum operated, with the electronic control integrated into the Powertrain Control Module. The main parts include switches, a speed control servo, servo cable, vacuum reservoir, and release switches. It will not engage below 30 mph and is controlled by functional switches on the steering wheel, disengaging by braking, the off switch, or cancel switch.
