What is ERCP Complications in Kurdistan Study about?

This study evaluated adverse outcomes of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) performed at centers in Sulaymaniyah and Duhok City, Kurdistan Region-Iraq over one year. A total of 200 patients underwent ERCP, with the most common indication being choledocholithiasis (43.7%). Post-ERCP complications occurred in 45 patients (22.5%), with pancreatitis being the most frequent (12.5%). The study concluded that adverse outcomes of ERCP at the centers have increased over the last year.
