This study aimed to determine the prevalence of vaginitis and bacterial vaginosis in women with abnormal vaginal discharge who visited the Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza in Lima, Peru. 370 women between ages 15-45 who had vaginal discharge were examined. The most common infection was bacterial vaginosis at 23.2% prevalence, followed by vaginal candidiasis at 16.2% and vaginal trichomoniasis at 7.8%.
