What is Skipping Class for River Adventures about?

A student skipped classes with friends to go to the river. To avoid getting in trouble for skipping, the student cut their toe on a rock and stuffed the wound with a leaf so their mother would think they got hurt at school. When the student returned home and their mother saw the wound, the ruse did not work and the student was punished for skipping classes.
