What is ECE-2206 Helmet Homologation Overview about?

The ECE-2206 homologation standard for motorcycle helmets will replace the outdated ECE-2205 norm to enhance rider protection through more stringent testing, including additional impact points and speed tests. ARAI has been proactive in improving helmet safety and was the first manufacturer to pass the new ECE-2206 standard in mid-2021. The transition to ECE-2206 will be fully implemented by 2024, with a phased removal of the ECE-2205 standard starting in July 2022.
