Can I read Understanding "The Holocaust" Label on EtoBox?

Understanding "The Holocaust" Label by Jorge Peredo is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is Understanding "The Holocaust" Label about?

This document discusses the origins and evolution of the term "Holocaust" as used to describe the systematic murder of European Jews by Nazi Germany. It notes that the term originally referred to religious sacrifices burned entirely on an altar. While the term now broadly connotes genocide, its use to describe the Jewish genocide specifically is unusual given its religious origins. The document examines how and why this term was adopted to describe this event despite its religious connotations.
