My question is on the issue of putting the prescribing role into job descriptions. At the local University, the students undertaking the prescribing training are told that it is vital that they do this; however, I am now being asked by their managers why there is a need to change an existing job description. Is there any legal requirement? Is it an NMC guideline/standard?
