What is A convenient method for the conversion of [Sn3S4]2− to [Sn3S3(μ3-OH)]−: Syntheses, structures and characterizations of (Bu4N)[Sn3(μ3-OH)S3(edt)3] · DMF and (Bu4N)[Sn3(μ3-OH)S3(edt)3] · H2O (edt = 1,2-ethanedithiolate) about?

Two new trinuclear tin(IV) oxy-sulfide complexes, (Bu 4 N)[Sn 3 (l 3 -OH)S 3 (edt) 3 ] AE DMF (1) and (Bu 4 N)[Sn 3 (l 3 -OH)S 3 (edt) 3 ] AE H 2 O (2), which are the same salt with different solvates, were unexpectedly obtained by the reaction of (Bu 4 N) 2 [Sn 3 S 4 (edt) 3 ] with CuCl 2 (or KCuI 2 ) and Zn(phen)(SCN) 2 (or Cd(phen)(SCN) 2 ), respectively. The two complexes have been characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction, IR, far-IR, Raman, 1 H NMR, ES-MS and element analysis. X-ray structure determinations reveal that complexes 1 and 2 possess the same incomplete cubane-like anion cluster of [Sn 3 (l 3 -OH)S 3 (edt) 3 ] À .
