What is Board Up the House about?

His aims as a writer were traditional, to entertain and instruct, but the means he chose to express them were unclassifiable, sometimes indescribable, occasionally unspeakable. What unites all these disparate uses are their concern for narrative. To be pilled is to buy into a story, large or small, that is in some way oppositional to the mainstream. When I came back, wearing a sweater meant a guy was "dressing for the female gaze" and a lot of those hot girls, it seemed, were dabbling in Catholicism online. We were suddenly told: "this game is over, let's call it a draw". Really, it was all a big misunderstanding, you see, but one that required some explaining
