What is Cessna L-19 Bird Dog Overview about?

The Cessna L-19 Bird Dog was a liaison and observation aircraft produced from 1949 to 1963. Over 3,000 were produced for the US military and other countries. The L-19 was used for military and civilian roles including reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and as a trainer. Variants included the L-19A, L-19E, OE-2, and models built under license overseas. The L-19 remained in service into the 1970s and many were later converted for civilian use.
