Can I read The structure of melanins and melanogenesis—IV : On some natural melanins on EtoBox?

The structure of melanins and melanogenesis—IV : On some natural melanins by R.A. Nicolaus; M. Piattelli; E. Fattorusso is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is The structure of melanins and melanogenesis—IV : On some natural melanins about?

Melanins have been isolated from the following sources: rat-tumor, human hair, dog-hair, horse-hair, ox-hair, ox-choroid, squid-ink, octopus-ink, chicken-feathers, pigeon-feathers, Amphi-UN-liver, and axolotl-liver; on the basis of certain typical degradation products these melanins can be class&d as "indole" melanin. A few melanins from the plant kingdom have also been taken into consideration. Like the recently studied ustilago melanin, sunflower seed and water-melon seed melanins have proved similar to cathechol melanin on the basis of the available chemical evidence; it may be that "catechol" melanin is a pigment widespread in nature. The black from the parasite Cupodium nerii belongs to an as yet unknown type of polymer.
