What is FHRP Overview: HSRP, VRRP, GLBP about?

The document discusses First Hop Redundancy Protocols (FHRP), which include HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP, designed to manage multiple gateway routers for redundancy. HSRP is a Cisco proprietary protocol that elects an active and standby router, while VRRP is an open standard protocol with a master-backup configuration. GLBP provides load balancing among multiple routers by allowing them to share traffic responsibilities using virtual MAC addresses.
