FRP Pipelines for Hydrogen Delivery by Adrian Alexandru is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) pipelines offer a safer and more economical alternative to steel pipelines for transporting hydrogen over long distances. Existing steel pipelines are susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement, leakage, and cracking. FRP pipelines consist of composite layers reinforced with glass or carbon fibers that provide greater strength while allowing for coiling, with an inner barrier to prevent hydrogen permeability. This project is investigating adapting FRP spoolable pipelines used in oi
