About this document

PA Utilization by mike.darracq3393 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study analyzes the utilization of Physician Assistants (PAs) in U.S. emergency departments from 2010 to 2017, revealing that PAs were involved in 13.2% of all ED visits without significant trends in utilization over the years. The findings indicate that PA visits were predominantly for lower-acuity cases, with PAs performing fewer diagnostic tests and admitting fewer patients compared to physicians. Overall, the data suggests that concerns about PAs replacing emergency physicians are unfounded.
