What is Multi-Digit Force Control in Grasping about?

This study investigates multi-digit force control during unconstrained grasping in response to external perturbations using a sensorized object. The findings suggest that the central nervous system employs a synergistic control strategy to maintain a stable grasp, as evidenced by the synchronous grip force responses across fingers. Additionally, the study compares human grasping performance with a robotic hand, highlighting similarities in force distribution patterns.
