What is Anne Frank about?

The diary of Anne Frank documents her life in hiding from the Nazis in an annex in Amsterdam with her family and four others during World War 2. It describes their daily struggles and fear of being discovered. In 1944, the annex was raided and its occupants were arrested and deported to concentration camps, where Anne died of typhus at Bergen-Belsen in 1945. Her father was the only survivor and had her diary published after the war.
