Wireless Mouse/Keyboard Communication Types by Jayant Nahar is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Wireless mice/keyboard use radio frequency (RF) technology to transmit signals from the mouse/keyboard to a computer receiver. The most common RF technologies are 802.11b, 802.11g, and Bluetooth, which operate at frequencies around 2.4GHz and provide transmission speeds up to 56Mbps and a range of about 30-150 feet. Wireless technology offers users mobility without cords but pairing and encryption are used to secure the wireless connection between devices.
