About this document

Taal Volcano Unrest Update by Michael Vince Masangkay is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Volcanic unrest continues at Taal volcano in the Philippines, with elevated seismic activity recorded over the past 24 hours including 236 episodes of volcanic tremors. This indicates elevated fluid movement underground and a threat of sudden steam-driven explosions with little warning. In the past days, steam plumes from the crater reached 50 meters and daily sulfur dioxide emissions were measured between 600-1200 tonnes. Seismic activity has decreased slightly but the threat level remains.
