What is Insulin Sensitivity in PCOS Patients about?

This study investigates insulin resistance in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) across different body mass index (BMI) categories, finding a prevalence of 37.7% to 75.8% depending on the index used. Menstrual irregularity was the most common clinical presentation, and women with PCOS had significantly higher levels of Antimullerian Hormone (AMH) compared to controls. The Matsuda index was particularly effective in detecting insulin resistance, especially in underweight women with PCOS.
