About this document

Dynamic Elasticity of Soil in Sulaimani by Ghassen Laouini is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study used borehole seismic surveys in four boreholes to characterize subsurface soil and rock layers in an industrial area of Sulaimani city, Iraq. Primary wave velocities (Vp) and shear wave velocities (Vs) were measured in 1-2m intervals down to 12-16m depth. In the western boreholes, Vp ranged from 737-870 m/s and Vs ranged from 400-480 m/s, indicating a non-cohesive soil layer. In the eastern boreholes, higher Vp and Vs values and lower Poisson
