What is Çatalhöyük: Neolithic Settlement Insights about?

Çatalhöyük was a large Neolithic settlement located in southern Anatolia that existed from 7500 BC to 5700 BC. It is the largest and best preserved Neolithic site found to date. The inhabitants lived in tightly packed mud-brick houses that had no streets between them, with rooftops used as walkways. The people buried their dead within the settlement, sometimes under hearths or platforms. Figurines and murals found throughout depict religious symbols. By later periods, the people practiced early agriculture
