The traction control system (TRAC) prevents wheel spin during acceleration by reducing engine torque and applying brake pressure to drive wheels. The Camry/Avalon TRAC system uses ABS components along with the ABS/TRAC ECU and ECM to monitor wheel speeds. When slippage is detected, it activates brake solenoids and reduces fuel injection to limit torque.
