About this document

Measles Trends and Risk Factors 1990-2019 by Min Yoojin is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study analyzed global measles incidence trends from 1990 to 2019 using GBD data. Globally, measles cases and rates significantly decreased but most cases were in children under 5, especially in low SDI regions. Lower SDI was linked to higher measles rates and lower vaccine coverage. Continued efforts are needed to strengthen surveillance, vaccination programs, and address vaccine hesitancy to achieve measles eradication.
