This document discusses using real-time FIFO (first-in, first-out) to deterministically transfer data between VIs (virtual instruments). Real-time FIFO should be used to safely transfer data from a time-critical VI to a communication VI running at normal priority, which can then transfer the data to the host machine without affecting system determinism.
