## Abstract The synthesis and structures of five new compounds are reported. [Mg(__6__‐Oq)~2~(phen)~2~] (1), [Na(phen)~3~][(__6__‐HOq)(__6__‐Oq)] (2), 1/∞[Cu(__3__‐Opy)(__3__‐HOpy)~2~(PPh~3~)]~∞~ (3), 1/∞[Cu~2~{μ‐(6‐Oq)}(PPh~3~)~2~]~∞~ (4) and [Cu~2~(pht)~2~(μ‐dppm)~2~] (5) (__6__‐HOq = __6__‐hydroxyquinoline; phen = __1,10__‐phenanthroline, __3__‐HOpy = 3‐hydroxypyridine; Hpht = phthalimide; dppm = __bis__‐(diphenylphosphino)methane) were prepared by deprotonation of __N__‐heterocyclic aromatic compounds with metal alkoxides. 1–5 represent useful starting materials for investigating the supramolecular cordination chemistry of organic anhydrides.
