## Abstract From experimental values of the ionization constants of low‐molecular‐weight poly‐functional acids and bases a consistent picture regarding the interaction between the functional groups, in both the uncharged and charged states, can be evaluated. Assuming simple additivity for both interaction effects, calculations on various series of homologous compounds result in uniform values for both effects.
